I am curious if it really was about survival. The encounter, I mean. Was she being intimidating because it was her survival and that of her roommates, or was she being intimidating because she felt she could?
I don't think she had anything to gain by just being intimidating for its own sake. I think she's economically stressed and it's coming out in this manner. If she's cleaning a lot of large houses, in her eyes everyone appears wealthy. Shouldn't she have some of that? She's probably fortyish, from another culture and doesn't understand that most of these people have worked for years to have what they have. It's sad. But also concerning.
