This week I thought it would be interesting to look at Near Death Experiences (NDEs) and how they’ve impacted people’s lives. One of the reasons I share stories of NDEs is that for each person, it’s a substantial bump in the road. It often changes their world view and offers all of us first hand insight and wisdom that align with all the spiritual traditions.
“How you understand death directly determines how you experience life.” -Mary Neal, MD
Mary Neal, MD says that with her NDE, she went “from hope to trust”. Think about what a powerful paradigm shift that is!
This podcast is one that left me pondering her wise words. How would your world view change if you absolutely trusted in life after this life? How might you live differently?
“Everything in the universe is made of energy, and our soul is pure energy.” -June Edward
A near-death experience (NDE) at 27 changed the course of June’s life. She returned to her body with a renewed sense of purpose to help people connect with lost loved ones. Since childhood June has had psychic abilities. Now, post NDE, she shares this gift with others.
June’s story brings up the incredible importance of finding and pursuing our deepest, most authentic purpose in life. What’s yours? How would making it front and center in your life change things?
The soul doesn’t like all these rigid plans. The soul is more focused on the present. -Nancy Rhynes
Nancy Rynes identified as an atheist. But a bike ride one January day in her hometown of Boulder, CO changed that when she was brutally run over by a large SUV and dragged along the road. She died and came back
Like others who have had a similar experience, Nancy’s NDE was a pivot point in her life. It revealed to her an energetic perspective of the world that celebrated love and beauty and optimism.
Among the many gifts of her NDE were the appreciation of and focus on the present moment. And a deep sense of gratitude.
A gratitude practice is powerful. Could you find three things to be grateful for every morning? Find the time. It only takes a minute and it sets the stage for a grateful day.
