So many great quotes come out of my conversations with my guests! This is a weekly piece with some words that might just get you thinking about your own life.

Somewhat inadvertently, January has turned to “aging inspiration” month on the podcast. It started with Chris Cornell’s incredibly motivating story about getting fit over fifty.
Next is Carolyn Paul. If she looks familiar it’s because she’s the identical twin of Baywatch’s Alexandra Paul. Now in her 60’s, she shares her passion for adventure with women young and not so young.
Then there’s Jim Flaherty. He’s 89 and doing his 10 year plan.
And coming up is Mariann Aalda who is proving that women need not become invisible after 50, even in the entertainment industry.
Aging? (Aren’t we all!) Here are some tidbits of wisdom from three people who are aging with energy and purpose.
So often we sink into our comfort zones. Chris decided enough was enough and he totally remade his body, his health and his life at 51 years old. Now in his 60’s he maintains his fitness and weight.

“Awe is like a reset button for the brain.” -Caroline Paul
Caroline finds awe in the outdoors. And she encourages everyone, especially young women, to get out of their comfort zone and get outdoors. Whether it’s from a wheel chair or a skate board, the outdoors awaits.
Great advice for all of us, at all ages! This week, think outdoors.
“You are as old as you think.” -Jim Flaherty
