This week, some thoughts on the importance of play.
This post this week is inspired by my dear friend Nancy Orlen Weber. Nancy is a famous psychic, pastor and author who’s been featured in numerous interviews and movies. Her specialty: Besides being a medical intuitive, she’s worked with police departments to solve seemingly unsolvable murders and mysteries!
This week, I admitted to Nancy that I was having difficulty following through on some of the social media demands of Bump. It just wasn’t engaging me much.
Her advice: Make it play and bring more play into your life! So this week, let’s play.
Here are some creative people that have made some form of art or play a central part of their transformative life journey.
Play more, Nancy exclaimed to me!
Among other things, Nancy suggested that play might be a game or building a blanket tent like we did as kids, with fabric draped over tables and chairs, creating the perfect hide-away. I have to admit the tent idea is pretty cool…I could meditate under the tent. And wear all my turquoise!
This week, ask yourself, what did you like to do as a kid? Could building a tent reminiscent of childhood be one of them?
"Ageism is out, Marianne is in, and she's on fire."-Mariann Aalda
Mariann is a successful actress. And one of the many things that make her remarkable is the fact that in her late 70’s, she’s rocking it! Big time!
Mariann’s resilience and playful, positive approach to pursuing her passion is inspiring. And something to note for all of us.
Where can you bring some play into your life this week?
“Allow, let go, and let spirit work in your life.”-Nancy Rhynes
Nancy Rhynes is a contemporary American artist. After a Near Death Experience, she changed her life and, following her intuition, started painting. And her paintings are remarkable.
Is art your preferred form of play? Add a bit of color to your life this week and express yourself! Give yourself permission to play!
Have an awesome-and playful- week!
