Years ago I read Gary Zukav’s The Seat of the Soul. Such a wise book. In it, Gary looks at interactions between people as energy exchanges. Everything, every interaction, is an energy exchange .
Can you sense the flow of energy when you have a conversation with someone? Does it ebb or flow? Is the energy clear and direct or is the intent shrouded in less than good energy?
Maybe it’s subtle. You just feel flat or dissatisfied. Maybe it’s a dynamic exchange that leaves you energized. Or something in between.
The energy between people says so much. Pay attention to it. It’s the proverbial canary in the goldmine. And it points you towards a lesson you need to learn.
Do you need to be more patient? Do you need to suspend judgement and have compassion? What can you learn in any interaction?
Most importantly, what do you learn about yourself? That lesson is pure gold.
My daily mantra is what can I learn. I apply it to many situations and the answers always lie within. What false construct do I need to release in order to expand my perception? How do I choose to react and what are the energetic consequences of my choice? Do I choose to be kind and loving, even in an awkward situation? Or do I go for judgement, letting my ego win out?
This week, pay attention to your energy exchanges! And ask yourself, what did I learn?
