I am on a bit of a rant. No one seems to enjoy a good conversation anymore. No one can tell a good story. It seems as if a litany of items, verbally checked off, substitutes for meaning.
Ask someone how their recent trip was. Chances are they’ll reply: I did this; I did that; I liked this; I liked that.
That’s supposed to be a conversation? It’s utterly unwelcoming. There is no emotion. And evoking emotion is the essence of a good story. For goodness sakes! Share an experience, not a fact. Talk, don’t text.
So I’m publishing several Side Trips on this. (Super short less than 5 minute podcasts). Here’s a sneak peak of one that will be released next week. It’s essentially three easy steps to actually communicating! Are there more? Let me know!
Check out my book on Amazon! Stories with heart and soul. And then some.
